I recently started a part time job to help supplement the income for when Jean and I buy a house. While my primary vocation pays well, our savings were pretty much depleted for the wedding.
I wasn't looking to make a lot of money and was advertising myself fairly low. I casually asked in the perlmonks (http://www.perlmonks.org) chatterbox if anyone knew of a place other than http://jobs.perl.org for telecommute only jobs. It just so happened that another monk had something for me.
So what is the added bonus? Well, for the first time since I have known Jean I can say more than "good" when asked how work went. You see, I am not allowed to discuss any details of my primary vocation so it means a lot to be able to share this part of my life with her.
